Are you a Duty fleet manager looking to take on a new contract role? TXM are excited to announce an opportunity with a well-established train operating company. We are looking an experienced and knowledgeable DFM to take on this 6 Month rolling contract
The purpose of this role is to ensure the fleet of rolling stock that experience faults are correctly mitigated in a safe manner to ensure that the operational impact on the customers is minimal. As the Duty fleet manager, you will be required to document and communicate these faults with high levels of technical quality, understanding and accuracy.
Other responsibilities of this role will include:
Fleet Maintenance and Quality Oversight: The post holder ensures fleet availability, quality, and safety standards are achieved by actively managing the Fleet Maintainer, including monitoring and improving defect reporting and work order processes through SRMS.
Operational Communication and Coordination: Attend twice-nightly production meetings to communicate daily operational requirements, ensure all unit concessions are authorized and recorded, and facilitate the movement of defective units for maintenance.
Log and Handover Management: Maintain a Duty Fleet Manager Log and Diary, review the previous day’s Control Log, and ensure comprehensive handovers are provided to their relief.
