About the Role
The London Road Surgery in Wickford has an excellent opportunity for a salaried GP to join their popular, friendly, established town practice. Due to recent and ongoing list growth, this position will be required to work 6-8 sessions per week to add to the current 5.5 WTE.
We offer a home visiting service and a full range of clinics including asthma/DM/IUCD etc. We have an operating theatre for all minor surgery and a specialist travel clinic. We encourage other interests and hope the successful applicant will develop and grow with us.

About the Candidate
All applicants should have the following qualifications:
* Fully qualified GP with GMC registration.
* Be on the NHSE medical performers list.
and skills, including:
* Good understanding and experience of chronic disease management, and primary prevention and screening services.
* Ability to take responsibility for your own career development, learning and performance and are responsible for ensuring that all your mandatory training is in date.
* Awareness of and compliance with all relevant practice policies and guidelines, e.g. prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health and safety.
* Commitment to life-long learning and audit to ensure evidence-based best practice.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in a confidential manner.

The London Road Surgery provides the full range of traditional family medicine whilst embracing modern developments. We have 14,000 patients, 3 partners and 3 salaried GPs, 3 ANP’s, 2 nurses, HCA, pharmacist, paramedic, social prescriber, mental health practitioner, FCP and a full administrative team of secretaries and coders.
We are situated in a leafy market town on the main rail line to London (38mins) with easy access to the coast and Europe. There is good housing and schools with many local clubs societies including sports, walking sailing, mountain biking etc.
