Business Development Manager for a freight forwarder based in the North West of England. This role is hybrid with about 1-2 days in the office and the rest is meeting clients and hybrid. This role is the only person in sales for this company, you will head up the sales direction for the company and this role is a bit of a blank page to how the role will be and the direction of the sales approach. The role will include cold sales but this is not a harsh sales environment type of company. business Development Manager, £35-45k + bonus, OTE around £60-70k with company car OR car allowance (depending on which you prefer).
The role
As a business development manager you will be out and about meeting clients, securing business and securing repeat business. You will meet clients, draw up a strategy, consider trade shows to show at, and attend networking events. This role will include all the normal business development duties.
Experience
We are looking for a business development manager who will be from a Ocean and Air freight forwarding background, with cold sales experience and can hit the ground running. You will be passionate and able to reach out to customers and secure freight bookings.
