We are seeking a motivated and dedicated SEN Support Worker to join our vibrant and inclusive secondary school in Haringey. This role offers a fantastic chance to gain hands-on experience working closely with students who need additional support, while contributing to their academic and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Classroom Support: Assist teachers in preparing and delivering engaging lessons for KS3 and KS4 students, ensuring all learners receive the support they need to succeed.
One-to-One & Group Support: Provide tailored assistance to students with SEN, helping them overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
Resource Management: Organise and prepare resources to support classroom learning and activities.
Student Progress: Monitor, record, and provide feedback on student progress, contributing to assessments and reports.
Extracurricular Activities: Support the planning and delivery of enrichment opportunities, including clubs, workshops, and school trips.
About You:
Experience: Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN in roles such as Teaching Assistant, Tutor, Youth Worker, Sports Coach, or Support Worker.
Passion for Education: A genuine desire to inspire and support young people in reaching their goals.
Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and support teachers effectively.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to engage and motivate students.
Team Player: Willingness to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and students.
Desirable: Experience working in a mentoring, tutoring, or teaching role is beneficial but not essential.
