JOB SUMMARY:
Implement both Global and Local Marketing Strategies for Indian Motorcycles within the UK & Ireland. Products include a full range of Indian Motorcycles including Mid-Size (Scout & Bobber) & Heavyweight Bikes.
Partner with the EMEA Marketing Team, District Sales Managers and local agencies on strategy formulation and campaign development, to ensure consistent and flawless execution throughout the region.
Meet and exceed objectives for the Indian business in profitability, growth, market share and quality by developing and implementing best in class marketing strategies, campaigns, materials, and retail initiatives for the UK & Ireland. This position will work as a key conduit between the Local Agencies, the Indian Sales Team and the Indian EMEA HQ in Switzerland. The role will primarily be focused on PR, Media, Strategy, and Shows & Event Support, and Owner Community Development.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Build and execute a clear marketing strategy for Indian Motorcycles in the UK & Ireland, in line with Global objectives.
* Develop and monitor annual marketing budget for all Indian marketing activities in the UK & Ireland
* Oversee and implement advertising and promotional programs including traditional advertising, internet/social/digital, and strategic partnerships that are impactful and cost effective
* Adapt corporate marketing messages to local market requirements to different customer groups including B2B and B2C target groups
* Responsible for flawless execution of new models/model year introduction, in coordination with various departments/stakeholders
* Lead marketing initiatives and actively contribute to market share expansion in all Indian Product segments
* Work as an integral team member of the UK & Ireland, Central European and EMEA Teams to explore best marketing practices
* Perform timely reporting and analysis on marketing activities, competitive activity, new markets, and trends.
* Support District Sales Managers and the Regional Director with insights and thoughts around improvement areas
* Attend and participate in relevant Indian meetings (Marketing, Management & Sales etc….)
Events
* Organize and participate in shows and events across the UK & Ireland
* Plan and execute marketing communication strategy for each event to promote attendance and build brand exposure
* Work with the marketing team to execute each event's marketing plan and help define the audience segments, value proposition, key messaging, and event objectives
* Exercise full responsibility across all marketing channels for your events - email, online, direct mail, social, content
* Demo Fleet (Vehicle) and Demo Program Management
* Exhibition organisation, implementation and clear-up
B2B & B2C Communication
* Day to day management of CRM and marketing automation platform ensuring the business keeps accurate and quality data.
* Assist on the execution of email marketing campaigns including dynamic emails, segmentation and marketing automation (experience of using DotDigital or other email marketing software is an advantage)
* Develop and maintain professional relationships with media partners, trade associations and other relevant professional organisations.
* Develop and execute a social media strategy to improve online brand presence – message scheduling, group message interaction, and engagement campaigns – with a focus on follower acquisition and customer service in conjunction with paid digital/social team.
* Support District Sales Manager in the distribution and development of dealer communications, dealer training and requirements, including marketing material distribution and local marketing best practices
* Foster the Indian Motorcycle owner community through IMR (Indian Motorcycle Riders)communications and events
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
* University Degree in Marketing required
* 5+ Years of work experience in a functional marketing position
* Proven track record of implementing marketing strategies and managing agencies to get results
* Solid experience in both B2B and B2C marketing
* Excellent communication skills
* Good knowledge of interactive/social/digital media marketing and email marketing
* Direct experience working with an international / American company
* Flexibility and willingness to get “hands-on”
* Demonstrated track record of success and achievement
* Strong communication and influencing skills
