Electrical Engineer Salary – £59,000 – £64,000 per annum (plus benefits) Hours – 40 hours per week, 07:30 to 16:00 Location – EnviRecover EfW, DY10 4JD As an Electrical Engineer at FCC Environment, based at our state-of-the-art EnviRecover Energy-from-Waste (EfW) facility, you will lead the electrical maintenance department and ensure electrical compliance and safety across the site. We are looking for an individual to lead the Electrical team, taking responsibility for delivering a range of planned and reactive electrical testing and maintenance to meet the challenging and demanding environment of the EfW facility. This is a full-time position, working 5 days per week. However, we are open to requests for job shares (full days) to support your lifestyle. The ideal candidate will: - Be a qualified Electrical Engineer, holding a minimum of a Higher National Certificate in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent), with at least five years’ relevant experience post-qualification - Have broad experience with process electrical systems, including low and high voltage, electrical actuators, and motors - Demonstrate proven experience managing a team and multiple contractors or maintenance contracts - Possess strong technical knowledge with a safety-first approach - Be confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word - Have excellent interpersonal communication, adaptability, and listening skills - Demonstrate strong analytical, numerical reasoning, and decision-making skills - Hold A-levels or equivalent; tertiary qualifications in engineering disciplines are desirable About Us Severn Waste Services is the public face of municipal waste management in Worcestershire and Herefordshire and is part of FCC Environment, one of the nation’s leading waste and resource management companies.
