Our client provides outsourcing accounting and bookkeeping services to small and medium sized businesses.
Due to the success and growth of the business, our client is looking for a Bookkeeper to join their team. This role would ideally suit someone who has good attention to detail with an agile approach to work. What We Need From You As a Bookkeeper
1. A minimum of 3 years Bookkeeping experience
2. You will live within a 20-mile radius of their office
3. Be proficient and have previous knowledge of both Xero and QuickBooks Online
4. Previous experience of Dext Prepare and/or Apron
5. Good all-round working knowledge of MS Office
6. Excellent communication and organisational skills
Desirable
1. Knowledge of ApprovalMax, Spotlight Reporting, Dext Commerce, and other cloud-based accounting support applications
2. AAT / ICB qualified or be prepared to study towards a formal qualification as AAT or equivalent
3. An active member of AAT or ICB
What The Role Involves
As a Bookkeeper you will be responsible for managing your own bookkeeping clients across various industries. Duties to include but not limited to:
1. Process transactions received into Dext / Apron
2. Deal with bank, supplier, and balance sheet account reconciliations
3. VAT reconciliations and returns
4. Credit Control for clients
5. Payroll processing
6. Accruals and pre-payments
7. Liaising with clients and processing and checking information
8. Dealing with queries
9. Producing various management accounting and KPI Reports
10. Onboarding new clients to cloud accounting software including system setups, training, and support
Salary:
£20,000 per annum (£28,000 FTE) (based on 25 hours per week), depending on experience and qualifications. (Potential for full time hours, as the role develops).
Working Hours:
Part time, working 5 days across: Monday Thursday 8.30am 4.30pm (5.5 hours per day) & Friday 9.00am 12.00pm.
