We are hiring - Senior/Principal Electrical Power System Engineers - PSC/LTD (Outside IR35)

The Engineer will be responsible for running power system simulations of complex systems, taking ownership of power system models and studies, and delivering high-quality engineering solutions for the assigned project.
Responsibilities include:
* Providing technical input into the major equipment sizing and production of Power Generation & Distribution Engineering drawings/documents (equipment lists, key line diagrams, load schedules, cable schedules), checking against design specifications while meeting client’s and international standards.
* Advanced experience using the Power System modelling ETAP package, running load flows, short-circuit, transient stability, static/dynamic motor starting, harmonic analysis, arc-flash, and protection coordination studies, and issuing the corresponding power system study reports.
* Reviewing/understanding the project SoW and performing activities as per schedule.
* Providing Protection Engineering solutions for the assigned project.
* Recognizing and communicating opportunities on the design process.
* Identifying scope changes and reporting to Lead and concerned Project Engineer.
* Identifying any concerns during the design process and reporting to the Lead Electrical Engineer.
* Ensuring deliverables are produced to meet the acceptable Quality Level.
* Following the Project Schedule and controlling the Project Cost.
* Liaising/coordinating with clients and sub-contractors/vendors for power system studies scope.
* Performing work which involves conventional engineering practice but may include a variety of complex features such as conflicting design requirements and difficult coordination requirements.
* Understanding the Company’s Business Management System (comprising Business/Quality Procedures, Guidelines, Policies, etc.) and following accordingly.
* Understanding and following Company’s and Client’s HSE policies.

Qualifications
* Degree in Electrical Engineering.
* Formal training in advanced ETAP Power System Modelling and Analysis would be an advantage.
* Extensive experience working in a multi-disciplinary Engineering office in a similar role is highly desirable.
* Good experience with O&G facilities design is mandatory.
* Able to prioritise workload to ensure all deadlines are met.
* Positive working attitude, able to demonstrate self-motivation and proactive approach.
* Flexible approach to design solutions.
