The Role: As an Apprenticeship Skills Tutor in Plumbing and Heating, you will play a crucial role in guiding apprentices through their learning journey. You will provide skills coaching, conduct regular workplace visits, and ensure apprentices meet the required standards for their End Point Assessment (EPA). This is a mobile role that involves extensive travel to employer sites, making a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle essential. Key Responsibilities: Conduct quarterly workplace visits and ongoing learner engagement Provide expert coaching and support to ensure timely EPA completion Collaborate with curriculum teams to track and enhance learner progress Lead tripartite reviews with apprentices and employers Support apprentices in building evidence portfolios (e.g. observations, reflective accounts, witness testimonies) Ensure compliance with safeguarding, British Values, Prevent, and Equality & Diversity standards Maintain accurate learner records, tracking attendance and performance Offer pastoral support to apprentices, addressing any additional learning needs Provide employer guidance on training responsibilities Participate in professional development to maintain industry expertise What We’re Looking For: Industry experience in plumbing and heating Strong knowledge of apprenticeship frameworks and EPA requirements Teaching, training, or coaching experience preferred Ability to work independently, managing multiple priorities Excellent communication and organisational skills Commitment to safeguarding, equality, and data protection policies This role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a lasting impact on apprentices' careers while working with a forward-thinking organisation dedicated to skills development.
