Manufacturing precision gear splined and threaded components for our clients including Rolls Royce, Eaton, Collins Aerospace, Safran Power Systems, Meggitt and many more. You will be part of a great team, working within a modern and clean environment, producing high precision parts and components for the Aerospace industry. The nature of the work is small to medium batch with medium to high complexity. The main requirement of this position is to work flexibly within the Corepack team to support the production of Corepacks to meet customer requirements on a timely basis. This includes dressing, deburring, and fettling of Corepacks.
Responsibilities:
* Deburring, dressing / fettling of Corepacks after build / machining operations using equipment such as hand tools, shot blasting machines and drilling equipment- as laid out in the work instructions, to ensure a consistently high-quality product is produced.
* Degreasing laminations in preparation for coating / building using enclosed solvent degreasing machines - based on production plans and priorities set by Corepack Management.
* Comply with the procedures, customer process specifications and required standards relevant to the processing of the product.
* Resolve any issues within their ability, including machine maintenance, notifying the Corepack management of any issues which they are unable to resolve in a timely manner.
* Other Corepack manufacturing related tasks as directed by your line manager, including covering other areas of manufacturing activities during absences, holidays, busier periods etc.
* Ensure accurate job timings are recorded within the Company’s ERP system, Javelin, by scanning on and off jobs.
* Maintain 5s standards within the shop floor

Experience and Skills Required:
* Previous Aerospace experience or similar manufacturing/engineering background is required
* Excellent attention to detail with good hand-eye coordination with the use of hand tools eg swiss files
* Able to undertake repetitive, precision work
* Good communication skills- able to speak and read/write in English
* Able to listen to instructions and advice when needed.
