Job description: Sports Equipment Sales Manager Location: Hybrid Terms: Full time Salary: £36,000 P/A commission structure Additional: Company car, phone, and Laptop About the role: Stuart Canvas Group are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Sales Manager to join our expanding sales team, reporting directly to the Head of Sports we are looking for the candidate to add additional value to our existing sales team, developing and closing sales opportunities from a range of customers. With an already well-established customer base in the cricket, football, tennis, rugby and racing sectors, the role will focus on developing a multi-sport approach primarily focusing on the education and club sectors. The role will require elevated levels of customer engagement and generating suitable sales opportunities through initiative-taking outbound activities and prospecting. Throughout the year the successful candidate will be appointment setting and attending site visits, with a focus in the north of the UK but will require full UK travel. You will also need to be an excellent communicator with strong people skills. You must be comfortable presenting products or services through face-to-face meetings and over the phone, as well as having excellent written communication skills. Business Overview: Stuart Canvas is the leading UK brand for sports pitch cover manufacturing as well as ground equipment. Over 50 years old and working with some of the top International professional sporting venues in the country in Cricket, Tennis, football and Racing while also exporting product all over the world. The companies HQ is in Warrington but has sites in Nantwich and Sheffield as well and sells a diverse range of products. The product range is from the manufacture of covers and canvas to designing steel covering systems or equipment for grounds and sports venues. Responsibilities & Role · To be initiative-taking in generating sales opportunities for the current Stuart Canvas product range. · Attend appointments and site visits for all qualified sales opportunities as and when required. · Answer questions about products, and support customers with product selection. · Working with the company's CRM system to update all customer key data. · Generate, build, and communicate accurately all customer quotations. · Continuously manage your sales pipeline. · Manage any post sales issues to preserve the company’s reputation. · Go the “extra mile” to meet sales quota and facilitate future sales. · Provide sales reports as and when required. · Be a valued member of the wider business, working and supporting across all company departments. · Look after a % of accounts within the sports division Requirements · Minium 3 years’ experience in a successful sales management role. · Target driven, and ability to demonstrate previous sales target achievements. · Good time management. · Good knowledge of relevant computer programmes Microsoft and CRM’s etc. · Ability to learn about products and services and describe/explain them to prospects. · Keen interest in sport. · A collaborator with excellent communication, negotiation, and people skills. · A growth mindset, who is always looking for suitable sales opportunities.
