37 Hours Would you like to be park of our Estates Services Team? At Watford Community Housing we take pride in the care of our estates to create clean safe friendly environments for our residents to live in, you could make a difference to people’s lives. You would be responsible for looking after your estates, working outside most of the time to ensure that the external areas of various flat blocks are kept to a good standard to include organisation removal & reporting of bulk waste & repairs, cleanliness of land we own that would include open spaces, bin stores, drying & parking areas. The role will be working on your own initiative after full training has been given & also as a team for projects that need it. You will have support from your line manager during your daily tasks & be expected to assist other teams within the organisation for instance working with communities on open days. As part of our Estates team, you will use your skills to help us deliver high-quality estates services to our communities. The right candidate will need the ability to use their initiative to carry out daily tasks in an efficient & safe manner, taking personal responsibility for delivering an excellent service for our customers. You’ll work effectively and proactively with colleagues to maintain high standards. In this role you will need to: Ensure a high standard of customer service Take personal responsibility for the areas you look after. Be able to communicate with our residents whilst carrying out your duties. Report back to the relevant staff member any concerns that may be raised with you. Work with colleagues from the estates & other teams when the need arises. You will be customer-focused, with the ability to interact empathetically with a wide variety of people. You will understand the importance of health & safety matters on our estates. Essential: Have had some experience of working in an estates or caretaking role. Be able to work alone & as a team member. Hold a full current driving licence. You will need to maintain a satisfactory basic level DBS check. Be able to drive works vehicles of various makes & sizes. Knowledge of Microsoft Office including emails To be able to confidently use a mobile phone and various applications. Ability to problem solve whilst on your estates. To be able to work collaboratively with internal & external stakeholders. Desirable: At least one years’ experience in an estates or caretaking role Qualifications to GCSE level Knowledge of the housing sector Competent Van driver What can we offer you?
