Permanent Junior Panel Builder required for Lisburn. Key Responsibilities: Panel Assembly: Assist in assembling electrical panels according to blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications. Mount electrical components such as switches, fuses, relays, and circuit breakers inside panels. Ensure proper wiring and connections are made in accordance with industry standards and safety regulations. Wiring and Cabling: Help with cutting, stripping, and connecting wires and cables to components within the panel. Organize and label wires and cables for easy identification and troubleshooting. Testing: Assist in conducting initial tests to ensure electrical panels are functioning correctly. Report any issues or defects found during testing and assist in troubleshooting. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of panel build processes, parts used, and any modifications or changes made during the assembly. Follow standard operating procedures for documentation and reporting. Quality Control: Ensure the panels meet the required quality standards, including reviewing components for accuracy and conformity. Check that all electrical panels are properly fitted and that the wiring complies with relevant safety codes. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and industry standards when working with electrical components and tools. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a clean and safe work environment. Collaboration and Support: Work closely with senior panel builders, engineers, and other team members to complete projects efficiently. Be open to learning and receiving guidance from more experienced professionals. Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or equivalent (a technical certificate or associate degree in electrical or industrial engineering is a plus). Experience: No prior experience required (some hands-on training or internship in electrical assembly is advantageous). Skills: Basic understanding of electrical systems and wiring. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively. Good problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs). Ability to stand for long periods and work in confined spaces. Comfortable using hand and power tools.
