Work on space satellite imaging systems to tackle issues in climate change.
What’s in it for me?
You’re an engineer who wants to work on interesting, challenging technology. How would you feel about working in an established start-up, partnering with some of the biggest names in the world of space exploration? You’ll contribute to high resolution for thermal imaging, helping your team realize even greater applications for the technology. Here you’ll get up to 3 days working from home each week, genuine flexible hours, BUPA private healthcare, medical insurance, shopping discounts, 4% pension, and 25 days annual leave (not including bank holidays).
What will I be doing?
You’ll be joining a team of 4 electronics engineers, to accelerate the satellite image technology to launch ready. You’ll be designing, implementing, and testing printed circuit boards to support projects. You’ll focus on drive electronics for nano-precision actuators, image capture systems, and miniaturised computers to implement closed-loop control systems. You’ll help create specifications and turn these into actual designs. Ideally, you’ll have a good understanding of both analogue and digital electronics. The team here uses Altium as their design package, so experience with Altium will help you. There’s plenty of other responsibilities within the role, but we can talk through the rest over the phone, and we can also discuss a more detailed job description.
Who will I be doing it for?
You’ll be working for a 30-person, maturing start-up in Cambridge, utilizing space imaging technology to tackle issues such as climate change. You’ll join a team that is ambitious and hardworking, but understands the importance of enjoying your work and finding purpose in what you do. The management team places a lot of focus on ensuring well-being in the workplace. On top of flexibility, homeworking, and placing trust in individuals, they like to keep things fun. You’ll have regular socials, team visits to customer sites, and regular communication and updates from management.
