This is fixed-term post of 20 weeks.
We have an excellent opportunity for podiatrists who anticipate registering with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC). Our fully funded learning programme will support you to return to practice. Candidates who successfully achieve registration will be eligible to apply for Band 5 posts within NHS Boards. We offer a structured development opportunity to support and consolidate knowledge, skills and competence in supportive learning environments. Your individual learning and support framework will have full mentorship support from our team of practice educators and practice development.
In this post you will:
1. Have the opportunity to provide podiatric care in a variety of clinical environments where you are supported by your mentor using various supervisory methods.
2. Provide a high level of care both palliative and corrective as part of an agreed care plan whilst liaising with or referring to other Health Care Professionals (HCPs) or Agencies as appropriate.
3. Plan and organise own workload to ensure effective caseload management of a diverse range of patients
Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications
You will be educated to BSc (Hons) in Podiatry or Diploma in Podiatry requiring to undertake 30 or 60 days of supervised practice. You will demonstrate the ability to work on your own and as a team member and be able to prioritise, plan and organise workload.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.
