Leigh Trust is an ambitious and growing Trust and we are excited to be appointing to a brand-new role of IT Manager, to help us on our journey and to strengthen our IT service. You will be based in our central office located at Nansen Primary school. Options for Hybrid & flexible working is also offered as part of the role during busy periods.
Responsible to: The Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Line Manage: The IT Manager will provide leadership and management support to the IT Technicians across the schools.
The Core Purpose of the Post: As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, the IT Manager is responsible for leading the IT strategy, infrastructure, and support provision across the Trust and its schools. This role ensures a robust, secure, and innovative digital environment that supports high-quality education, aligns with the Trust’s strategic vision and delivers best value.
The post holder will be accountable for:
* Overseeing IT provision across the Trust, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security.
* Leading on IT strategy, infrastructure, cloud adoption, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.
* Managing IT budgets and procurement to ensure cost efficiency and compliance with financial regulations.
* Supporting the educational technology strategy to enhance teaching and learning.
* Ensuring compliance with data protection laws, supporting Trust’s Data Protection Officer (DPO).
* Liaising with key stakeholders, including the CEO, the central Executive Team, school leadership teams, external vendors, and the Board of Trustees.

Essential Requirement: This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016). Therefore the ability to speak fluent and spoken English is an essential requirement for this role.
