We are seeking a motivated, client-focused Client Accounts Assistant to join a well-established accountancy and business advisory firm based in Shepperton, Surrey. This is a fully office-based role, ideal for someone looking to develop their accounting career while working closely with a diverse client base.
Position Details:
* Hours: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
* Location: Shepperton, Surrey, with occasional travel to the West Horsley branch
* Salary: £30,000 – £34,000 (dependent on experience)
Important Note on Location & Transport
While Shepperton is not in a rural area, public transport options are limited. Having a valid driving licence and access to a car would be highly beneficial for a more straightforward commute. This is a fully office-based role with occasional travel to the West Horsley branch.

Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in managing a portfolio of client accounts, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
* Support the preparation of management accounts, VAT returns, and other compliance tasks
* Maintain accurate financial records, performing reconciliations and data entry as needed
* Communicate with clients to gather required financial information, respond to queries, and build strong working relationships
* Contribute to ongoing improvements in processes and embrace new technologies that enhance client service and efficiency
The Ideal Candidate:
* Qualifications: Currently studying towards or holding Level 3 or Level 4 AAT or ACCA qualifications, or equivalent
* Experience: Some prior experience in an accountancy practice or client-facing accounting role is beneficial but not essential
* Tech Proficiency: Familiarity with accounting software (Xero, Sage) and strong MS Excel skills
* Communication & Organisation: Excellent communication and organisational abilities, with careful attention to detail
* Client-Focused: A proactive, service-oriented mindset dedicated to delivering exceptional client experiences
* Driving Licence: A valid driving licence and access to a car is highly beneficial due to limited public transport options
