The Role:
You will manage your own caseload encompassing a broad range of matters to include employment claims, corporate transactions, workplace disputes, redundancies, and settlements.
You will be required to:
1. Provide advice to employer clients on a wide range of employment law issues including recruitment, termination, discrimination, contract disputes, unfair dismissal, sickness absence, grievances, redundancies, TUPE, performance concerns, and disciplinary proceedings.
2. Conduct employment tribunal proceedings.
3. Draft, review, and update employment contracts, policies, and handbooks.
4. Provide support to the Head of Department and Corporate Team with transactional work.
The role will also involve business development, providing training and guidance to HR and management on employment law topics, and supervision of junior members of the team.
The Candidate:
You should have:
1. 6+ years’ PQE in employment law ideally with a commercial law firm.
2. Prior experience of managing your own employment tribunal claims and/or providing corporate support.
3. You must be self-motivated and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
4. Strong client-facing and business development skills.
5. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
