Oncology Key Account Manager - East Anglia
Territory - East Anglia
Major Tasks
* Produce, agree and implement a KAM plan to achieve or exceed sales targets, maximising investment of both time and monetary by incorporating the relevant information that defines how the territory should be optimally managed.
* Produce, agree and implement a budget plan to maximise the return on investment within the defined territory by allocating budget with a KAM approach.
* Produce, agree and implement bespoke initiatives that enable access to the use of Bayer products by NHS and private providers by aligning the needs of the customer with that of Bayer.
* Facilitate appropriate contact between Bayer personnel and appropriate customers to enable there to be a shared agenda.
* Provide a high quality commercial approach to maximise any investment by the use of successful negotiation and resource management.
* Provide a comprehensive record of information relevant to KAM to enable appropriate decisions to be made by developing knowledge of the processes and personnel at appropriate NHS national, regional and tertiary/secondary care levels.
* Ensure the early understanding, acceptance and adoption of the designated brands by engaging with and influencing all relevant stakeholders within the NHS & Private providers including budget holders and influencers at appropriate levels.
* Maintain a high degree of knowledge of the defined therapy areas and NHS policies (both local and national) by proactively reviewing their current positions and providing solutions.
* Liaise and communicate with internal and external customers in a professional manner at all times, adhering to the Bayer DSO Behaviours.
CUSTOMER STRATEGY & FOCUS
* Identify priorities and produce strategic business plan for territory ensuring a breakdown of all barriers to entry and use (clinical and financial).
* Develop and implement key account management plan that maximises return on investment with regards to time and budget.
* Negotiate positive outcomes with appropriate customers regarding budget issues and patient access scheme initiatives.
* Develop and maintain positive relationships with all key stakeholders.
* Contact and influence key stakeholders on the formulary adoption and patient pathway.
* Ensure all activity reporting is comprehensive and on time.
* Facilitate contact between appropriate personnel within Bayer and their counterparts with customer organisations.
* Develop key opinion leaders and advocates at territory and national level.
REGULATORY
* Ensure adherence to industry-specific codes of practice or conduct, advertising codes, regulatory directives and guidelines, as applicable to the role, and to the program for legal compliance and corporate responsibility at Bayer.

* Participate in a positive working environment, sharing best practice, developing new initiatives, exchanging business intelligence and developing effective working relationships.
* Operating Environment: Strategic Health Authorities / Trusts / Cancer Networks/ Hospitals on agreed geography / Primary care trusts (where appropriate).
* Framework & Boundaries: To comply with all relevant guidelines (hospital / ABPI / Bayer SOPs etc).
* Work in a supportive and professional manner as part of the KEY ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT team and the broader Bayer teams.
* Additional requirements: This role requires some UK travel including overnight stays. International travel may be necessary. Employee must live on territory.
Who you are?
* Qualifications: Degree in Life Sciences or equivalent ABPI medical representative exam.
* Experience: Experience in the field of Oncology and Urology, including a track record of successful selling.
* Excellent understanding of key account management.
* Up to date and working knowledge of NHS processes, particularly with respect to funding.
* Excellent business planning skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Proven ability to persuade.
* Proven ability to work independently and demonstrate pro-activity.
* Good intellectual ability both numerically and verbally.
