The Role
As a Reception Class Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality education to children in their first year of school. You will create a safe, engaging, and stimulating classroom environment where children feel confident to explore, learn, and develop essential skills. You will be responsible for planning and delivering a dynamic curriculum, assessing and monitoring progress, and working closely with parents to ensure each child reaches their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and creative lessons that align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
* Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
* Develop and implement individualized learning plans for each child.
* Monitor and assess children’s progress through observation, record-keeping, and regular feedback.
* Foster a love of learning through play, exploration, and hands-on activities.
* Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for children.
* Provide a safe and secure environment for children to grow emotionally, socially, and academically.
* Support and guide children through their transition from home to school life.
About You
We are looking for an enthusiastic and qualified teacher who:
* Holds a valid teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent).
* Has a strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development.
* Is passionate about working with young children and has a positive, creative, and patient approach to teaching.
* Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
* Is committed to creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
* Has the ability to motivate, inspire, and challenge children to reach their full potential.
