Need to be available June 29 to July 5th (No time off that week)
Position Description:
Students will work at assigned stations to produce and serve menu items and will lead by example as they assist and train other student workers during the summer 2024 season.
Experience Required: Previous experience in one of our restaurants.
Skills, Characteristics Required for Position: Positive attitude, self-motivated, flexible and able to take direction. Able to work well with others, work independently of supervision, and have excellent customer service and communication skills.
Dress Code Requirements: Clean and neat appearance at all times.
Uniform: jeans, black shirt, closed toe shoes with socks, and hat with nametag. Hair must be tied back if it touches the shoulders. Only studs are allowed for ear piercings. No sweatpants, shorts, capris, open toe or heeled shoes, hoops/dangling earrings, facial piercings, necklaces, bracelets, or other jewelry.
Special Working Conditions: Must be able to lift 50 lbs using proper lifting technique. Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on summer needs. Must be available to work 40 hours per week and flexible during the first couple weeks of each semester for training.
Primary Duties:
1. Provide Dining and Catering services to our guests.
2. Present and serve menu items in a timely and attractive manner.
3. Interact with customers and team members with a friendly and welcoming attitude.
4. Keep all stations/areas stocked and clean.
5. Aid coworkers at other stations as much as possible if your station/area is slow.
6. Stay occupied by stocking, cleaning, or prepping in the kitchen.
7. Maintain consistent & reliable attendance.
Secondary Duties:
1. Cleaning equipment and facilities as directed.
2. Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
1. Train all employees on proper serving techniques, food production, and cleanliness.
2. Lead by example in serving techniques, food production, and organization.
3. Provide excellent customer service.
4. Assist in completing Student Worker Training Checklists for each student worker.
5. Communicate restaurant or staff needs to supervisors.
