Job Purpose
As a senior member of the central brand and marketing team the role holder is responsible for developing and implementing our group marketing strategy, through the coordination of marketing activities across the business to raise the RES profile in key markets, drive clarity, recognition and recall of our brand, and to position us as leaders in our field. The role holder will ensure a consistent, collaborative, and innovative approach to our marketing by working closely with colleagues across the function and the business to develop and implement omni-channel campaigns which support our business strategy, reflect our brand and engage our key target audiences with reportable results. This role will be responsible for developing and executing go-to-market strategies, articulating our value propositions and product hierarchy, positioning our products effectively in the market, and driving lead generation. Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and execute comprehensive go-to-market (GTM) plans for new and existing products and solutions to drive awareness, adoption and lead generation
2. Craft compelling value propositions and messaging that differentiates our products in the market and resonates with target customers
3. Help articulate and define our product and solutions roadmap now and for future investment
4. Partner with our product teams and sales teams to ensure alignment on product strategy and customer needs
5. Support the sales team with the development of presentations, case studies, and training materials
6. Conduct market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes to inform product positioning and messaging
7. Collaborate with content and digital team members to create omni-channel marketing campaigns
8. Track and analyse key performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of marketing efforts and optimize future strategies
9. Analyse performance and report results
Knowledge
10. Understanding of B2B product marketing, preferably within the energy or renewables sector
11. Knowledge of online and offline marketing channels and how to best leverage them from maximum engagement and impact
12. Knowledge of how to create customer-centric marketing and content strategies that drive tangible results
Skills
13. Excellent written and presentation skills, a skilled copywriter with strong attention to detail
14. Ability to influence and persuade, comfortable engaging with senior leaders and managing key relationships
15. Proficiency in marketing automation, CRM, and analytics tools
16. Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making
17. Ability to plan, manage and prioritise multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, delivering on time and on budget
18. Ability to identify and create engaging brand stories that position RES as thought leaders
19. Ability to bring creative and innovative approaches to marketing campaigns
Experience
20. 5+ years’ experience as part of an in-house or agency marketing team, preferably with energy or renewables industry experience
21. Planning and managing product launches
22. Measuring and reporting on campaign performance
23. Building and implementing multi-channel campaigns and initiatives
24. Managing cross-function and multi-geography teams
25. Experience managing budgets and external vendors
Qualifications
26. A degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field
27. Further qualifications in specific areas of marketing and communications are desirable
28. Experience at a similar level of role in marketing
