We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and flexible individual to join the Maintenance Services team as a Remedial and Reactive Works Maintenance Manager.

Works will vary and can span all trade disciplines ranging from small-scale carpet replacements up to more major projects such as boiler replacements.
The role will also work closely and support the Building Technical Specialists on planned maintenance projects, such as roofing repairs, electrical upgrades, and room refurbishments.
The post holder will sit at the centre of a wide network of trades, customers and Estates colleagues and Contractors. They will project manage individual repair jobs, overseeing and organising the relevant principle contractors or smaller sub-contractors, liaising with departments and building occupiers, communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, and making sure that works are undertaken in such a way as to reduce impact upon building users and neighbouring occupants. All of this requires excellent communication skills and the ability to pre-empt possible tensions between contractors and building users and plan jobs so as to mitigate as far as possible the potential for complaints or disagreements.
