SEN Tutor (Special Educational Needs)

About Us: At TP Tutors, we are dedicated to providing high-quality, personalised support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). We are looking for a compassionate and skilled SEN Tutor to join our team and make a meaningful difference in the lives of students who require extra support. As a SEN Tutor, you will help students unlock their full potential through tailored teaching methods that respect their unique learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 tutoring to students with various SEN (e.g., autism, dyslexia, ADHD, learning disabilities, etc.)
* Develop individualised learning plans tailored to each student’s specific needs, strengths, and goals
* Support students in overcoming learning challenges and building academic confidence
* Work closely with other stakeholders to ensure a coordinated approach to the student’s learning
* Implement a range of teaching strategies, using visual, auditory, and kinesthetic approaches as appropriate
* Track and monitor progress, providing regular updates
* Foster an inclusive, supportive, and encouraging learning environment
* Help students build social and emotional skills alongside academic growth
Ideal Candidate:
* Experience working with students who have Special Educational Needs (SEN)
* Understanding of SEN-specific strategies, tools, and interventions
* Qualifications in SEN education, teaching, or related fields (e.g., SENCO qualification, PGCE, degree in special education or related area)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships
* Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed
* Creative and flexible approach to teaching, able to adapt to each student’s unique learning style
* Knowledge of relevant educational frameworks (e.g., EHCPs, P scales)
