About The Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join our Engineering and Maintenance function at FBC UK! We are looking for someone to lead the site maintenance team, overseeing 4 team leaders and a wider team of 28. You will work with the UK Engineering teams to share best practices, support CI projects, and run RCA events on major issues across the site.
Main Responsibilities
Your role will include:
1. Delivery of site KPIs including:
2. Increase and sustain OEE across all lines
3. Decrease engineering availability issues through improvements to planned maintenance
4. Drive innovation through CI projects
5. Lead Engineering Team leaders and ensure development of their teams
6. Engagement of H&S across the site
7. Support management of Engineering budgets
8. Present reports to stakeholders on key driver areas
9. Implement and manage change to meet project outputs
10. Comply with our commitment to our people plans and policies
11. Availability to travel when required
What are the main ingredients for the role?
1. Experience managing engineers/maintenance teams in an FMCG/Food environment.
2. HNC in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
3. Understanding of automation in manufacturing.
4. Experience in a Safety driven environment with clear understanding of PTW Systems and Risk Assessments.
5. Understanding of electrical & mechanical aspects including fault finding.
6. Understanding of CI procedures and techniques, ideally knowledge of LEAN techniques.
7. Good understanding of GMP/GHP.
