We have a fantastic opportunity for a Product Owner to join our Chief Payments Office. As a team, Chief Payments Office, plays a key role in the successful development and delivery of Group's Payments strategy and future scalable payments platforms. We have a role to play both internally and externally to build outstanding customer payments propositions, as well as modernisation and moving the payments capabilities forward, against the industry and regulatory developments for the benefits of customers and our businesses. We believe connectivity is key and, to this end, we facilitate strategic alignment on payments across the group and provide expertise to innovate our payments estate which includes products, services, and applications, collectively generating value for our customers and stakeholders. The difference you'll make: Being accountable for managing and delivering a profit and loss for varied range of specialist products and propositions Being responsible for the design and E2E service delivery, a 360-degree view of set of payment products, and services to create value for Santander UK, including but not limited to profit and loss management, and customer journey innovation Owning the vision, strategy and roadmap for the payments propositions they are responsible for, driven by customer needs, desired business outcomes and market intelligence Being accountable for creation, maintenance, prioritization and sequencing their product requirement backlogs, including development of business cases Having an influence to manage complexity arising because of interlock with businesses and technology peers and seniors to explore a variety of opportunities and developing business cases including exploring external partnerships Being responsible for horizon scanning, market intelligence and for sourcing and negotiating with 3rd party vendors that best suit bank needs What you'll bring: These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role: Commercial and Strategic Leadership within Payments industry - Significant experience showing a depth and breadth of knowledge in creating and scaling Payment's product propositions Digital Transformation and Innovation in Payments - An innovative mind-set, extensive relationship, and communication skills, including the ability to implement, translate and overcome complexities Extensive knowledge of current local and global market dynamics, key players, and their strategies It would also be nice for you to have: Knowledge and experience in Instant, Cross Border and Domestic Payments / Open Banking and Blockchain would be advantageous Proven experience leading high performing product teams / or teams of other substantial size and technical capability Experience in hashing external partnerships Ability to manage competing priorities, meeting and influencing deadlines What else you need to know: The location for this permanent role is Unity Place - Milton Keynes, but we'll also consider locating the role in Triton Square - London. To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 12 days per month (pro-rata for part-time roles).
