STRAP & Personnel Compliance Manager - C&A - Counter Terrorism Policing HQ
The starting salary is £38,926, which includes allowances totalling £2,928.
Job Summary
An opportunity has arisen to fill a permanent position in the CTPHQ STRAP & Personnel Compliance Team. You will deliver a consistent approach in relation to the application of National Security Vetting and STRAP across the CT Network on behalf of the MPS. The role of the STRAP & Personnel Compliance team is to ensure personnel working in enhanced vetted and STRAP accredited roles within CTPHQ and the MPS are correctly STRAP inducted, hold a valid vetting status and are aware of their personal responsibilities around security.
Key Tasks
1. Responsible for management of the administrative tasks relating to STRAP induction, ensuring records and databases are maintained and Cabinet Office STRAP Policy and National Security Vetting (NSV) Policy are upheld.
2. Working with the Vetting Unit, respond to NSV queries that come into the unit.
3. Working with HR and recruitment Spocs, respond to STRAP & NSV queries that come into the unit to assist with the on/off boarding processes.
4. Deliver face to face presentations at induction days and recruitment events.
5. Liaise with MPS Vetting Unit, GCHQ STRAP Admin, UKIC and NSV / STRAP units across the CT Network on STRAP and security related matters.
6. Ensuring the unit remains data compliant in line with local and national legislation, including GDPR.
7. Responsible for effectively managing the workload of the unit Band E’s, overseeing staff appraisal, attendance management and welfare processes.
Vetting and Strap
This post requires access to the most sensitive intelligence material on a daily basis. Applicants must hold or be prepared to undergo National Security Vetting (NSV) Developed Vetting (DV) level before taking up the post. This post requires British nationality (some dual nationals may be ineligible) and an Enhanced Security Check (eSC)/Developed Vetting (DV)] clearance.
Confidentiality Agreement
