Job Description:
We are seeking a Counselling Services Coordinator for a maternity cover contract with a fabulous organisation who support children and young people aged 5 – 25 years through challenging times via the provision of therapeutic services for young people and their families, as well as for the professionals who work with them.
As the first contact for young people and their families during their therapeutic journey, it is essential that you have a strong understanding of psychology, likely with a related degree. You will triage new service users to the correct service or therapist and ensure appropriate risk assessments are undertaken. You will share responsibility for health and safety practices, safeguarding, or suicidal risk, and report any concerns to line management, taking immediate action as required.
Working across Essex, you will manage incoming communication from potential and current clients, referrers, families, and professionals. You will coordinate a team of therapists at both operational and clinical levels, ensuring contractual obligations and KPIs are met, and services are delivered to a high standard. In collaboration with the Lead Therapist, you will also implement safeguarding actions.
This role will be busy and central to the delivery of the charity’s services. It involves working with all internal colleagues, serving as a main point of contact for a large team of therapists, and building and maintaining effective relationships with many external agencies. Additionally, you will be responsible for keeping administration and data updated to a high standard and ideally producing reports for stakeholders.
As a specialist Recruitment Practice, we are committed to building inclusive and diverse organisations and welcome applications from all sections of the community. We invest in your journey as a candidate and are committed to supporting you in your application.
