Job Description: MEP Quantity Surveyor

Position Overview
The MEP Quantity Surveyor will play a vital role in managing the financial and contractual elements of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) projects. You will be responsible for cost estimation, budget management, and ensuring the projects are completed within financial constraints while meeting quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare accurate cost estimates for MEP projects using a detailed knowledge of M&E systems.
* Conduct feasibility studies and prepare bills of quantities for MEP contracts.
* Monitor project progress and provide regular reports on financial status and forecasts.
* Negotiate and administer contracts, ensuring compliance with legal and company standards.
* Manage the procurement process and liaise with subcontractors to ensure quality and timely completion.
* Assess project risks and develop contingencies as necessary.
* Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
* Keep abreast of market trends, pricing, and legislation affecting the construction industry.
* Assist in the resolution of disputes and claims related to MEP work.
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
* In-depth understanding of MEP systems and associated construction processes.
* Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
* Proficient in relevant software tools for cost estimation and project management.
Desired Experience
* Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in MEP projects, with a minimum of 3 years in a similar role.
* Demonstrated experience managing budgets and financial forecasting.
* Exceptional negotiation skills and contract management experience.
* Familiar with commercial building and construction practices within the UK market.
Salary & Benefits
Salary: £65,000 - £70,000 annually
