About the team:
SCC’s newly formed Contracting and Procurement service is part of Enabling Services Directorate and aspires to be the ‘best in class’ through creating a cohesive approach to procurement and contract management to deliver value for money from our contracts and expenditure with external suppliers.
The Contracting and Procurement service is looking to appoint two individuals to join us in the role of Procurement Support Officer. In this role, you will support the Procurement Team in delivering a collaborative, knowledgeable procurement service to the rest of the council, ensuring effective administration of procurement activities including compliance with public sector procurement rules and regulations, obtaining value for money, and maintaining the Council’s eProcurement system.
About the role:
The successful candidate will have an understanding of public sector procurement regulations, experience of running procurement or quotation exercises and has a good understanding of the importance of compliance and record keeping.
