Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? We’re looking for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a fantastic SEN school in Long Eaton, providing vital support to students with a range of additional needs.
The Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting students both in the classroom and during activities, helping them to access learning in a way that suits their individual needs. You’ll work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key responsibilities:
1. Providing one-to-one and small group support to students with special educational needs.
2. Assisting in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
3. Supporting students with communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation.
4. Encouraging independence and confidence in learning.
5. Helping to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience working with children or young people, ideally within an SEN setting.
A caring and patient approach, with excellent communication skills.
The ability to work well as part of a team and adapt to different learning styles.
A commitment to supporting students to reach their full potential.
Any relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, SEN experience) are desirable but not essential.
