Maintenance Storeman (Supply Chain Assistant Higher Level) will carry out all duties as required by Trust Policies and Procedures and ensure all work is carried out in a safe and timely manner.
Carry out the duties of an Estates Maintenance Worker as and when required.
Produce stock reports: Weekly stock shortage reports and pass on to relevant department. Analyse stock levels and advise department accordingly.
Responsibility for receipt and distribution of stock/non-stock and tools to the Estates Maintenance Dept. and all associated clerical duties. Maintain computer-based stores module.
Working to standards laid down in Trust policies and legislation to provide a safe and supportive environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Responsible for local stores management, raising requisitions, named as default buyer on stock orders to assist supplier contact and ordering of non-stock goods to meet departmental requirements using EMIS computer system.
The postholder will be expected to perform a variety of manual, clerical, and administrative tasks in support of the Estates Maintenance Dept.
Main Duties of the Job
1. Goods receive all stock and non-stock items on EMIS (Estates Management) computer system.
2. Receive and check deliveries of all items to stores both stock and non-stock.
3. Contact suppliers regarding shortages and discrepancies through email, fax, or phone call.
4. Contact management regarding shortages and discrepancies for non-stock delivery again through email or phone call.
5. Contact management with regard to non-stock deliveries (which may be very urgent).
6. Liase with suppliers to encourage them to meet estates purchasing needs and contracts.
7. Solely responsible for the day-to-day running of the Estates Stores including both stock and non-stock items.
8. Explain details of purchasing requirements/issues with other staff i.e. contractual agreements with suppliers.
9. Ordering of department's personal protective clothing weekly.
10. Negotiate with suppliers regarding contractual issues on stock supply e.g. delivery time scales, prices.
11. Formulate word documents for stock amendments forms, safety equipment forms, and stock adjustment forms.
12. Formulate spreadsheets for stock equipment using Microsoft Excel.
