Salary £29,500 - £33,250 per year
Key Responsibilities
* Provide targeted debt and money advice to clients across multiple channels, ensuring accessibility and effectiveness.
* Manage a caseload of debt advice clients, meeting service quality and performance targets.
* Collaborate with supervisors and team leads to ensure consistent service delivery and compliance with regulatory frameworks.
* Engage with clients from diverse backgrounds, offering empathetic, non-judgmental support to help them navigate financial challenges.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
* Work collaboratively within cross-functional teams, including local advice services and debt support teams.
Essential Experience & Knowledge
* 1+ years’ experience in delivering debt advice casework.
* Strong knowledge of debt advice casework processes, including experience in multi-channel service delivery (face-to-face, email, telephone, and online).
* Experience in negotiating with creditors and third parties on behalf of clients.
* Completed recognised debt advice training ie CMA and familiar with industry standards (e.g., FCA, Money Advice Service).
Client-Focused Advisory Skills
* Ability to assess client financial situations, provide tailored advice, and explain complex financial matters in plain English.
* Skilled in delivering empathetic, client-centred support while maintaining professionalism.
* Strong negotiation skills to liaise effectively with creditors and financial institutions.
Operational & Case Management Skills
* Proven ability to manage a busy caseload, meet deadlines, and prioritise effectively.
* Capable of working independently, with support from supervisors when needed.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and impartiality in all client interactions.
* Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team, supporting colleagues and sharing best practices.
