The role:
Our client is seeking an experienced and passionate Director of Operations to join their expanding UK team. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in the growth of a brand that’s dedicated to delivering high-quality home gym equipment and empowering people through a shared love of fitness.
In this role, you’ll oversee UK operations, driving performance and ensuring the seamless delivery of products and services. You’ll optimise processes across supply chain, inventory, logistics, and customer service, all while maintaining the brand’s high standards of quality and value. The ideal candidate will have a start-up mentality and thrive in a fast-paced, growing business.

Responsibilities:
* Oversee day-to-day operations across the UK, driving efficiency and ensuring everything runs smoothly from the ground up.
* Develop and implement operational strategies to fuel our growth, ensuring we’re always innovating to stay ahead in the fitness industry.
* Lead and motivate cross-functional teams to maximise productivity and achieve operational excellence, creating an environment where every challenge is met with a drive to succeed.
* Manage supplier and logistics relationships to ensure the timely and cost-effective movement of goods, especially managing shipments from China to the UK and Europe.
* Build and operate a warehouse from the ground up, ensuring seamless D2C (direct-to-consumer) daily shipments, keeping our fitness community fully stocked and ready to crush their training goals.
* Identify and implement continuous process improvements to enhance both customer satisfaction and operational efficiency, always striving for more streamlined, cost-effective solutions.
* Take ownership of managing carriers and driving margin improvements across the value chain, squeezing every aspect for efficiency while maintaining our high standards.
* Collaborate closely with the leadership team to ensure operations align with our global objectives, helping to accelerate our mission to be the world’s #1 strength brand.
Skills and requirements:
* Proven experience in operations management, preferably within the fitness industry, retail, e-commerce, or manufacturing sectors—ideally with a focus on fitness equipment or related products.
* A true passion for fitness and a deep understanding of the fitness equipment market.
* Strong leadership abilities, capable of inspiring and motivating a diverse, cross-functional team who share your enthusiasm for fitness and excellence.
* The ability to adapt quickly to shifting priorities in a dynamic, fast-moving start-up culture where every day brings new opportunities and challenges.
* A solid track record of improving operational efficiency and streamlining processes in fast-paced environments, where attention to detail and results matter.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive decision-making and performance improvements.
* Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
