And the Senior/Principal Transport Planner:
Main Duties:
1. Preparation of Transport Assessments and Transport Statements
2. Preparation of Travel Plans and Travel Plan Coordination
3. Preparation and presentation of technical data and drawings
4. Liaison with clients, contractors and local/national authorities, as required
5. Ensure that all assigned tasks/jobs are delivered on-time and to budget
6. Check the quality and accuracy of work produced by junior team members
7. Work collaboratively with the team and proactively support junior staff in developing their technical knowledge
8. Support Team Leaders in the delivery of comprehensive advice to clients on Highways & Transport matters from preliminary advice/feasibility work
9. Undertake site appraisals/visits and design surveys, through to providing input to written reports and presentational material
10. Ensure that all electronic and paper files on projects are kept up-to-date
11. Assist with other related tasks, as required by your Team Leader
Requirements
Education/Experience:
1. Degree in applicable subject: Transport Planning, Geography, Civil Engineering
2. 4+ years of experience of UK Transport Planning standards and processes
3. Member of Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation (MCIHT)
Technical Skills:
1. Advanced use of Microsoft Office software packages
2. Good levels of numeracy, including a good understanding of spreadsheets
