A large manufacturer with multiple international operations is on the lookout for a Quality Inspector to join their skilled engineering department.
The successful candidate will have a high-volume manufacturing background and hold responsibility for production-side quality inspection.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. Quality Inspection of parts at all different levels of the production process from press parts to finished goods. Checking for a range of different faults, i.e. splits, burrs, dimensional errors to very high efficiency.
2. Liaising with company suppliers and customers.
3. Conducting investigations and audits on production cells and presses to find the root cause of a concern or fault.
4. Filling in 8D paperwork and internal root cause analysis paperwork.
5. Non-conformance reporting.
6. Measuring parts in gauge, checking gaps, trims, hole positions and sizes against standards set by the customer.
7. Use of measuring equipment such as a Vernier, micrometer, taper gauge and rule and various other measuring equipment.
Knowledge and Experience:
1. Experience of working in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
2. Good computer literacy.
3. Experience running CMM programmes.
