The Role
:
As a Drainage / Flood Risk Engineer, you will contribute to diverse projects, focusing on residential and non-residential developments, enhancing drainage and flood risk strategies.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare Flood Risk Assessments and Surface Water Drainage Strategies.
2. Developing strategies for foul water drainage to bolster Planning Applications.
3. Liaise with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
4. Utilise Micro drainage / Flow software to model drainage networks.
5. Input into site masterplans for optimal drainage integration.
6. Ensure projects are completed efficiently, meeting deadlines and budgetary constraints.
7. Regularly review company practices and associated policies for continuous improvement.
8. Assist in team management and development.
Requirements:
9. Previously worked as a Drainage Engineer, Flood Risk Engineer or in a similar role.
10. Possess 2+ years of experience.
11. Experience in preparing and reviewing Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy documents.
12. Background in management of drainage and flood risk elements of a project.
13. Understanding of UK Drainage / Flood Risk Regulation / Best Practice.
14. Skilled in Micro drainage / Flow, Micro station / AutoCAD, Microsoft Office.
15. Experience in preparing Transport Statements/Assessments, Travel Plans, and Utility Assessments would be beneficial.
16. Degree level education would be preferred.
