Position Summary We are looking to recruit a Manufacturing Excellence Specialist, reporting to the Manufacturing Excellence Manager. As a Manufacturing Excellence Specialist, you will drive Total Productive Maintenance progression, loss intelligence, digitalisation and continuous improvement initiatives and projects for the site. You will ensure that a PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) and SDCA (Standardise-Do-Check-Act) approach is understood and followed across site, that root cause analysis is correctly identified, and tools correctly deployed. Nestlé Halifax Factory in West Yorkshire is the home of the iconic confectionary brand Quality Street amongst several other well-known brands such as After Eight. These are produced through controlled process plant and automated filling and packing lines. A day in the life of Manufacturing Excellence Lead Partnering closely with our operations, engineering and support teams from different departments and functions, the Manufacturing Excellence Specialist will support with their strategy, application, and delivery of Continuous Improvement practices. In addition, you will help identify improvement opportunities, and lead and coach a number of improvement projects throughout the year to deliver business needs. You will have good in-depth knowledge of and experience on Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) implementation and improving the skills of production and maintenance teams on common problem-solving and Autonomous Maintenance tools. - Drive implementation of Total Productive Maintenance and Continuous Improvement practices delivering tangible results and culture change in a sustainable way. - Support the cascade of business and factory priorities into local Master Plan roadmaps. - Use data gathering, tidying, analytics and visualisation techniques to effectively identity, prioritise and define projects through Industry 4.0 tools. - Lead and coach Lean Six Sigma projects using the DMAIC and SMED framework. What will make you successful We are looking for someone who has a passion and commitment for improving and adding value to manufacturing processes, committed to compliance to factory standards and shows initiative. - Experience in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to front line production management. - Experience on Total Productive Maintenance implementation in a fast-moving manufacturing environment. - Experience in Goal Alignment implementation. - Proficient use of MS Office 365 tools (e.g. Office, SharePoint, Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI). - Proficient use of specialised statistics package software, data analysis tools and Manufacturing Executing Systems (MES) (e.g. Minitab, Anaconda, SAP MII and HANA, TrendViewer, Historian). - Proven record of delivering continuous improvement projects and stakeholder management, embedding the PDCA and SDCA cycles. - Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification (preferred) What you need to know What can we offer in return?
