Join Our Team as a Production Supervisor in Doors!
Are you ready to step into a pivotal leadership role within our cutting-edge manufacturing environment? We're in search of a dynamic Production Supervisor to collaborate with and deputize our team leader in guiding our operators through a variety of essential processes on their shift. Be the driving force behind maintaining Origin’s high standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Manufacture Origin products to quality standards as part of the manufacturing line.
2. Support production operators, offering training, guidance knowledge, resource, and solutions as required.
3. Monitor performance and product quality through regular visual inspections, to prevent potential errors within specific production areas (e.g., machinery calibration, quality control, assembly processes).
4. Assess and uphold the production area, ensuring that maintenance and shift end cleaning is completed to required standards.
5. Ensure that all production sheets are filled in accurately, and recorded into the relevant areas.
6. Understand and implement the 5S model into all production working practices. Carry out regular audits into both your own, and other production areas to provide feedback and raise areas for improvement.
7. Champion product quality control, and maintain meticulous production records against manufacturing objectives.
8. Promote and comply with a safe work environment, adhering to environmental, health, safety legislation, and ISO standards.
9. Locate potential areas for improvement based on business trends, providing feedback, and acting accordingly with effective and efficient solutions.
10. Tackle manufacturing challenges head-on with root cause analysis, driving performance improvement.
11. Ensure that operatives have access to all relevant PPE, and wear this regularly in accordance with compliance training.
12. Attend meetings as required.
13. Perform additional duties as required by the role, or as requested by the business.
The ideal candidate will have:
1. Excellent Verbal and Written Communication: Strong verbal communication skills to convey instructions clearly and effectively lead team meetings. Additionally, adept at written communication for documenting procedures, preparing reports, and corresponding with stakeholders.
2. Time Management and Prioritization: Demonstrated ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks to meet production deadlines and ensure efficient workflow in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
3. Problem-Solving Ability: Proven track record of identifying and resolving issues promptly and effectively to minimize downtime and optimize production processes.
4. Working Capability with IT Systems: Proficient in utilizing IT systems relevant to production operations. Able to navigate and leverage technology to streamline processes, track production metrics, and optimize workflow efficiency.
5. Ability to Influence Peers as a Production Supervisor: Proficient in effectively communicating with and influencing peers to drive production performance, fostering a collaborative work environment focused on achieving operational goals.
