Integrated Pathology Solutions LLP is an innovative joint-venture pathology service between Airedale NHS Foundation Trust, Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust. This partnership delivers a high-quality pathology service through collaboration between three Trusts for the benefit of patient and service users.
The Department of Histopathology is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the team as a Band 5.
It would be advantageous for the successful candidate to have previous experience of working within an NHS Histology Laboratory.
The successful candidate would be expected to participate in all areas of the lab including Cut Up, Main Laboratory and Further Work (Immuno and Special Stains) and should be able to discuss in detail the role that a Band 5 will play in the key areas of a Histology lab.
Main duties of the job
The candidate would also be expected to participate and help facilitate other areas of the laboratory including training and audits. This would be in addition to working with the senior team to ensure all aspects of UKAS accreditation are continually fulfilled.
The candidate should be able to help identify improvements and be able to collaborate with colleagues to implement changes across both Airedale and Bradford.
The post holder must be willing to rotate to Airedale and Bradford Hospitals.
The Department of Histology is ISO15189:2012 accredited and is also a recognized HCPC / IBMS training laboratory.
