As we celebrate 40 years since admitting our first patient, St Leonard’s Hospice is investing in fundraising with our wonderful community of supporters. We want everyone to know about the difference our work makes – and how they can be part of making it happen through fun and engaging ways of raising money Based on reception in the fundraising office, the Fundraising Support Assistant will be the initial point of contact for fundraising enquiries, helping maintain donor records and preparing and packing fundraising resources. You will also have the chance to gain lots of experience working with different colleagues across the busy fundraising team, including: individual giving supporter experience philanthropy & partnerships database administration events and community fundraising In addition to the above, this role also includes a chance for you to undertake a Fundraiser Level 3 Apprenticeship. On successful completion of the programme (usually13-15 months), you will be awarded a Level 3 Standard Fundraiser Apprenticeship. Our ideal candidate will have: Experience of working (either paid or voluntary) in a customerfacing role Good organisation skills, including being able to prioritise tasks and attention to detail Proven interpersonal skills Enthusiasm and a ‘can do attitude’ What we can offer you in return: Generous annual leave entitlement of up to 41 days Attractive pension schemes Extensive employee discounts Training and development opportunities We are recruiting for someone who could work a minimum of 25 hours up to a maximum of 37.5 hours per week, however the successful candidate would be expected to assist at fundraising events which will include occasional evenings and weekends.
