JOB ROLE: SENIOR CIVIL ENGINEER
LOCATION: FAREHAM
SALARY: £50,000 plus excellent benefits

Our client, a fast-growing and award-winning consultancy, is looking to add a Senior Civil Engineer to their team.
Qualifications Required
1. Preferred: Incorporated Engineer (IEng) [or working towards] with the Institution of Civil Engineers
2. A degree or HND in Civil Engineering
Experience Required
1. 5+ years' consultancy experience
2. Experience working with local authorities, developers, and architects on civil engineering aspects of residential, commercial, and retirement/care schemes
3. Varied experience working on schemes through the planning process; from pre-app through to condition discharge
4. Civil engineering project management experience including projects combining drainage, external works, and highways elements
Role Specific Requirements
1. Work within a Civil Engineering design team responsible for the design of drainage systems, highway layouts, and S278/S38 schemes
2. Work in a design office, with regular exposure to developers, architects, and local authorities
3. Undertake and manage team resource for design work for:
1. Drainage systems in accordance with Sewers for Adoption, building regulations, and the SuDS Manual
2. On and off-site highway features, in accordance with the appropriate standards and codes e.g. Design Manual for Roads and Bridges, and Manual for Streets
4. Be responsible for writing fee proposals
5. Proficient in AutoCAD and Site 3D or equivalent 3D software
6. Have knowledge of and willing to learn other engineering software
7. Reviewing of junior team members' reports, design, and drawing work
8. Attend client meetings and site visits
9. Co-operate with the Quality Management System (QMS) through undertaking administrative activities
10. Mentoring and training of junior staff
11. Support our regional offices and other departments through knowledge sharing
