Role Overview: We are seeking a committed and passionate Teaching Assistant to support teachers and enhance the learning experience of students. Key Responsibilities: Assist classroom teachers in planning and delivering lessons, ensuring students' needs are met. Help students with their work, promoting their academic and social development. Supervise students during classroom activities, breaks, and lunch times to ensure their safety and well-being. Assist in the preparation of classroom resources and materials. Monitor and record student progress and report any concerns to the class teacher or SENCO. Encourage positive behaviour management techniques and promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. Participate in staff meetings, training, and development opportunities as required. Essential Skills and Experience: A passion for supporting children's learning and development. Previous experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting. A good understanding of the national curriculum and special educational needs. Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents. Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude to challenges. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. A relevant qualification, such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or a willingness to work towards one. Desirable Attributes: Experience working with students with autism, ADHD, or other learning needs. Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
