£24,727 to £27,720 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

About the role:
You will be the 'face' of procurement as the main point of contact for procurement related questions and queries, reporting to the Procurement Compliance Manager and will support university staff and external suppliers in using procurement processes and policies. You will have the ability to;
* Be the lead for new supplier requests
* Produce reporting for procurement KPIs
* Be the point of contact for queries from internal staff and external suppliers
About the team:
The procurement team are responsible for overseeing the steps of the procurement cycle, covering core department activities such as market analysis, sourcing, negotiation, contracting and supplier relationship management. Procurement adds value and reduces risk across the supply chain by establishing the right working relationships with suppliers, so the compliance assistant role is key to the overall procurement strategy. We are a friendly team of 20 who work flexibly in the office and at home.
About you:
Whilst previous experience in procurement is desirable, it is not essential, as we welcome applications from all individuals who are enthusiastic, proactive and pride themselves in providing good customer service. This role is an entry level role into the world of procurement and would be ideal for someone looking to develop their skills in this sector.

The post is offered on a full-time (36.25 hours per week), fixed term contract for 12 months.
