Here at the Owens Group, we are looking for a Pallet Network Administrator to join our Pallet Network Team in our Cardiff Site. Training and coaching will be provided to ensure the successful candidate has the required skills and knowledge for the role.
Job Purpose: To assist our planning team with administrative tasks.
Hours: Subject to business needs and can rotate from 8am-5pm, 9am-6pm, 10am-7pm.
Work Pattern: Monday - Friday.
Specific Key Accountabilities:
1. Prioritise and liaise with drivers/warehouse staff to ensure all work has been done and that no deliveries have been missed.
2. Carry out tasks largely unsupervised to cost and quality standards.
3. Plan ahead - tasks and resources.
4. Support the Pallet Network Manager in the day-to-day operational movements.
5. Investigate and solve customer issues which may be complex or long-standing. Ensure all discrepancies are dealt with and entered onto the Warehouse Management System.
6. Ensure customers are kept informed at all times throughout their experience with Owens Road Services.
7. Deal with depos within the network and customers.
8. Communicate courteously with customers by telephone, email, fax, letter, and face-to-face.
Specific Experience:
1. Pallet Network administrator experience (ESSENTIAL)
2. Problem solving/logical thinking.
3. Working unsupervised, continually managing time and prioritising work to meet tight corporate deadlines.
Specific Skills:
1. Computer skills - Excel and good competencies to work with digital planning systems.
2. Good communication skills, interaction at all levels internal and external.
3. Team player with a flexible Can-Do attitude.
