Sport Wales is the national organisation responsible for developing and promoting sport and physical activity in Wales. We are the main adviser on sporting matters to the Welsh Government and are responsible for distributing National Lottery funds. We aim to not only improve the level of sports participation at grassroots level but also provide our aspiring athletes with the support required to compete successfully on the world stage.

ROLE SUMMARY
You will support the delivery of all aspects of the communications and digital work at Sport Wales, gaining an excellent understanding of the variety of work that is undertaken by a busy in-house communications team and our partners. You will be keen to learn and broaden your experience.
As part of Sport Wales’ overall reputation management, you will ensure that all communications incorporate agreed key messages. You will have a good eye for a story and be able to use your creativity to contribute to a wide range of communications activity. This will include writing engaging copy for our internal and external e-newsletters, using software to create and publish e-newsletters, working with agencies to produce thought-provoking content across a range of platforms including social media, and supporting with the delivery of events and campaigns.

You’ll be an important member of the Communications and Digital Team and will work across all departments at Sport Wales as well as supporting our partners’ work.

With some experience of working in communications, marketing or related industries, you’ll be looking to progress your career and you will be passionate about the value that communications activity can bring to an organisation. We’re looking for someone with plenty of ideas who can provide outstanding support for our Communications and Digital Team.
You will need to be equipped for the challenge that comes with being part of a small but busy in-house team. This is a superb opportunity to gain excellent experience in a wide range of communication disciplines, have access to superb training and have an opportunity to use your creativity and skills to make a real difference to people in Wales.
