Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure health and safety legislation and policies are adhered to, to ensure a safe and legally compliant working environment.
2. Review job package upon receipt.
3. Prioritise build sequence.
4. Check drawings prior to commencing build.
5. Build job utilising all relevant information e.g. GA's, Circuit diagrams, and wiring schedules.
6. Ensure all work is completed to Company standard.
7. Recognise and overcome problems of shortage of build materials.
8. Undertake the build of first off/prototype equipment and liaise with Engineering to achieve optimum solutions.
9. Liaise with Engineering regarding any design change/rectification.
10. Liaise with QHSE department regarding standards, i.e. IPC610/IPC620.
11. Liaise with Supply Chain regarding component/material problems.
12. Work with Test/Engineering to resolve problems as they occur.
13. Operate all equipment in a safe and effective manner.
14. Create live DRS sheets for the Assembly Team Leader and/or Manufacturing Engineer.
15. Demonstrate and adhere to the Ultra ASPIRE values at all times.
16. Carry out any other duties as reasonably required by Management.
17. Instruct and guide new employees, Apprentices, and trainees.
18. Assist with the training of Apprentices to achieve the required level of job performance and competency.
Skills Required:
1. Awareness and understanding of Health and Safety requirements and legislation.
2. Experience in a comparable role within a similar industry.
3. A proven ability to correctly interpret manufacturing information and carry out related self-inspection tasks.
4. Knowledge of internal and ISO9001:2015 Quality Management Systems.
5. Knowledge of ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management.
6. Knowledge of modern manufacturing management techniques.
7. Knowledge of 5S continuous improvement and 7W waste elimination processes.
Qualifications:
1. GCSE Grade C/4 Math's & English or equivalent.
2. Apprentice trained.
3. Experience of using an ERP system.
4. Ability to plumb pipe work etc. for water cooled equipment.
5. IPC 610 & 620 qualification.
Specialist Training Required/Application Specific Training:
1. J-STD-001 soldering standard.
