Caritas Diocese of Salford is excited to be opening a new supported accommodation project for those who are homeless in Manchester. The new accommodation project at Caritas House will offer a pathway out of homelessness for single men with low support needs and it will provide high-quality, single-room accommodation with 24-hour staffing for 19 men. Therefore, we are looking to recruit a Project Worker to ensure a smooth-running service for our new accommodation.
As a Project Worker, you will work as part of a team to provide a safe and high standard of supported accommodation. You will ensure residents are supported to improve their health, well-being, and develop independent living skills before being supported to move into independent private rented tenancies. You will also help support other services including education and training to help our residents move on into employment.
You will have great customer service skills, a strengths-based approach, and be motivated and confident enough to help enable people who are homeless to find and maintain long-term housing solutions. Experience of working with people that are homeless and may be from vulnerable or disadvantaged groups in a residential/similar setting is essential. You will have good IT and admin skills and a positive approach to team working.
The hours of the role are from 9 am – 5 pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional fundraising activities outside of these hours.
Experience of working with people that are homeless in supported housing for 2 years or more is essential.
If this sounds like the next step you are looking for and you would like to work in a service passionate about supporting people to find new homes and rebuild their lives, then we would love to hear from you!
