Our client, operating in the highways, transport, and public sector, is currently seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team in Ipswich on a contract basis. This is an excellent opportunity to oversee significant projects and client engagement within a leading sector.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Overseeing three primary areas: carriageway and footway dressing/resurfacing
2. Managing a 20m turnover through this role
3. Ensuring successful project delivery, particularly in commercial and stakeholder management
4. Maintaining awareness of the projects rolling nature and staying on top of evolving requirements
5. Reporting to senior management and supporting project delivery
6. Conducting mandatory site visits and meeting with site managers overseeing the work
7. Collaborating with the team to ensure project milestones are met
8. Working primarily from the Ipswich office, with regular travel to project sites
Job Requirements:
1. Experience in contracts management within the highways, transport, or public sectors
2. Strong commercial acumen and stakeholder management skills
3. Ability to manage a substantial project turnover
4. Proven ability to oversee multiple project areas and ensure seamless delivery
5. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
6. Proficiency in project management tools and software
7. Flexibility to work on-site and from the office as required
