Our client has grown to be one of the largest and most respected property consultancies and surveying advisory firms in the UK with a network of offices across England and Wales, employing more than 900 partners and employees. As a major property practice, they have a market-leading energy team comprising surveyors, valuers, environmental specialists, project managers, and town planners. Providing sound independent advice on all aspects of an energy project, they enable their clients to take full advantage of the opportunities that the energy market presents.
Due to successful growth, they require Property Managers for their offices in Oxford.
Key Responsibilities will include:
1. Day to day management of mixed property portfolios including:
2. Leasing and letting of property.
3. Undertaking rent reviews and lease renewals.
4. Dealing with the acquisition and onboarding of new assets into the portfolio.
5. Identification of and assisting with the disposal of surplus property.
6. Collection of rents and other monies due, including chasing of arrears.
7. Liaison with the Facilities Management team to ensure all compliance checks are complete.
8. Managing and organising improvement, repair, and maintenance work for residential properties, including liaising with tenants and contractors, arranging access, and checking that works are completed.
9. Undertaking annual/periodic property inspections.
10. Identify and implement asset management opportunities.
11. Identifying strategic development opportunities.
12. Managing relations with key stakeholders.
13. Provide accurate, timely client reports.
14. Maintain a strong working knowledge of appropriate legislation.
15. Undertake site visits where necessary to read meters, undertake audible fire alarm tests, meet contractors, and carry out basic inspections.
Key Requirements
* We are looking for applicants who ideally have MRICS, AssocRICS, or MARLA qualifications and possess extensive asset management experience or similar experience.
* We are looking for previous experience in residential property management.
* Knowledge of compliance and CDM regulations will be helpful, but not essential.
* Strong experience of dealing with clients, tenants, stakeholders, and contractors alongside experience of working in a fast-paced environment where professionalism and flexibility is essential.
* You will be highly organised, with good time management skills and possess a good working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* A full UK Driving License is essential.
